Samantha Smith - Director

Samantha Smith was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana.  She has been married to her husband, Albert, for 17 years.  They have 4 boys (17, 14, 9, and a 2 year old).  The Smiths love traveling and spending time with family.  Samantha knew since she was in the 4th grade that she wanted to be a teacher.  It was her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Virginia Briggins, who inspired her to be a teacher.  Samantha received her teaching license in 2009 from Indiana University of South Bend.  Upon graduation, she began working at Xavier School of Excellence as a 5th grade teacher.  She taught 5th grade for 4 years and in January 2013 was promoted to Dean of Students.  In August 2014, Samantha was named Assistant Principal.  Samantha is extremely proud to be a part of the Leadership Team and is excited about the future at Xavier School of Excellence.
